6 years...no really....it's been 6 years

6 years.   That is the amount of time that has passed since my last blog post.  6...years.  How does this happen you ask?  Well...I started the blog explaining that sometimes I have a hard time sticking to commitments.  So there ya go :-)  A picture popped up on my Time Hop app this morning that reminded me of my "blog" from forever ago.  Honestly I typed the address into my search bar half wondering if anything would show up.  Low and behold my trusty old blog from 6 years ago popped up and sent me into a trip down memory lane.

I laughed at my posts because I complained that I hadn't blogged in "awhile".  Back then "awhile" meant like 3 months.  We are now at 6 years.   6.  So much has happened....So much has changed.  I know 6 years is a lot to cover...but here are a couple highlights.

We had a baby!!!  Aralyn Jane is her name and she's just awesome.  This itty bitty baby is now a full on 4 going on 16 year old.

And surprise...we had another baby!  Mara Josephine is her name and she too is just awesome.  She's now 2 and just like her sister is also going on 16...she may be the younger sibling but she has no problem making her presence known!

More often than not...our Friday nights look like this...and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Even  though so much has changed...it was so crazy to see that so much is the exact same.

There's this guy.  Still spoiled rotten.

I still love to cook and have been discovering the art of pickle making thanks to Dustin's green thumb.

I am still horribly disorganized and find it incredibly difficult to maintain a "clean" house. I will say...I now try to keep at least the living room and kitchen somewhat clean.  And when I say somewhat clean, I mean that if anyone is coming over I can throw things in a closet and vacuum real quick to make things presentable.  Baby steps people...progress is progress....(just don't open my closets).  Also..I'm not posting any pictures of my living room even though I actually spent all afternoon cleaning!

And lastly...this guy.  He's now the father of 2 girls and still the husband of an over emotional wife.  As one of my close friends with all girls said best ...it's a house full of feelings...and he's just the best.  Seriously...he's the best.
So there it is...6 years in 4 pictures. Obviously there is so much more.  SO much.  But that will be explored in posts to come.  The past 6 years have continued to show me that God is so incredibly good and I am so incredibly thankful.  Who knows if I'll keep this up...but hopefully it won't take 6 years to post again :-)
